Popular Japanese cars imported into Australia include the following:
– Nissan Skyline GTR & GTS-T
– Toyota Supra RZ turbo & SZ non-turbo
– Nissan Silvia/180SX
– Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
– Mazda RX7 Series 7
– Delta Wagon
Price-wise, at one of the auto auctions I saw a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (1991 make) go for a bid amount of about AUD13,000. This of course will be lower or higher based on the model, make, year and mileage and is only an estimate.
The entire process of import to delivery (including invoicing, documentation and shipping) takes about 4-5 weeks from the date of purchase. It’s actually quite simple and comes with the advantage of a high performance car at a bid-based low price.
